The Hills Rehab and Wellness Centre – Chiang Mai. Health and Wellness
The Hills Rehab – Precision Building at Scale
Project Overview
The Hills Rehab is a 120-bed luxury rehabilitation and wellness centre located in rural Mae Rim, just outside Chiang Mai. Completed in 2018, the project was designed to offer world-class residential treatment facilities in a tranquil, natural setting — blending high-end resort amenities with medical-grade infrastructure and serene landscaping.
The Challenge
With a fixed budget a strict 7-month delivery window, the challenge was immense: construct over 120 rooms, multiple treatment centres, spa, pools, roads, restaurant, gym, and central administrative facilities, all in a remote area with limited access to traditional construction resources.
The Solution
To meet the timeline, the team employed a prefabricated construction system for all client villas. Modular units were manufactured off-site and delivered to Mae Rim ready for rapid assembly, dramatically reducing on-site labour pressure and build time. This allowed the core construction crew to focus on traditional high-skill elements like pools, the restaurant, the main lobby, walls, and utilities infrastructure.
The prefab units were designed for long-term performance and guest comfort.
The Outcome
In what remains a remarkable feat of engineering and logistics, The Hills Rehab was completed on time, with the first residents arriving exactly as scheduled. The project not only delivered an expansive, high-end treatment facility within an impossible timeframe, it also showcased the strategic advantage of combining modular speed with traditional craftsmanship.
Today, The Hills stands as a case study in how hybrid construction models can deliver world-class facilities at pace, without compromising on quality or vision.
